Departure: 8:30am with the SPMC Walking Group from Shops of Sea Pines by the mailbox & C’est Bon Coffee Shop.
Event Location: Harbour Town, Liberty Oak Tree. Put on by Sea Pines Resort.

There is no limit to the number of spaces available for this event. This public family event is part of the Country's 250th Anniversary, feel free to bring your son or son-in-law along to walk with us if you have family or friends in town that week for the 4th of July celebrations.

Cost: No cost, complimentary donuts offered during Ben Franklin’s historical talk.

As part of our Country's 250th Anniversary Celebration, Sea Pines Resort is offering daily Family Events the week leading up to 4th of July. Step back in time and meet one of America’s Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin. A lively historical interpreter will share, stories and insights from America’s early history.

The Sea Pines Men’s Walking Group will participate in their usual weekly Tuesday walks and include visiting this event in Harbour Town as part of their weekly walk.

Schedule:

8:30am – SPMC Walking Group departs from the Shops of Sea Pines, by C’est Bon Shop

8:30-9:00am – Walking Group walks to Harbour Town

9:00am – Arrive for Donuts with Ben Franklin at Liberty Oak, stay until 9:45am

9:45am – Depart from the Liberty Oak, walk back to the Shops of Sea Pines

10:150am – Arrive back at the Shops of Sea Pines

Hilton Head Revolutionary War History Cruise (07/30/2026)

Cruise Time: 9:30 – 11:00am
Arrival & Boarding: 8:45am arrival with boarding starting at 9:00am
Tour Location: Harbour Town Pier – on board Vagabond Cruises
Spaces for this event: 35 members, guest, & families or until this public boat cruise is full. This is a local public family event as part of Celebrating American’s 250th Anniversary. Spouses, wives, and family members are invited to join & register.
Cost: $49.00 per person: includes boat cruise, Vagabond booking fees & credit card surcharge.

Registration closes on Monday, July 27th.

Hilton Head Heritage Library is partnering with Vagabond Cruises providing history cruises.

Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with an unforgettable journey through the waters of history aboard the iconic Vagabond. In partnership with the Heritage Library, this special narrated history cruise brings the Revolutionary War era of Hilton Head Island to life from the very waterways where history unfolded.

As you cruise through the scenic Lowcountry aboard the Vagabond, costumed historical docents from the Heritage Library will guide guests through captivating stories of the American Revolution, coastal defenses, naval activity, local settlements, and the important role Hilton Head Island and the surrounding waters played during the fight for independence. Hear the stories while viewing the very marshes, shorelines, waterways, and strategic locations connected to the Revolutionary War era along the South Carolina coast.
